Could there be a stand-off between Jerry Seinfeld and AI generated Seinfeld? An AI version of the classic US sitcom is streaming on Twitch decades after the show came to an end.
Now, the comedy genius has joked about his second coming after tech gurus created Nothing, Forever, an 'infinite procedurally generated livestream parodying the famous sitcom'.
The dialogue is produced by an OpenAI called GPT-3 with the help of other advanced programs, which also allows users to influence the narrative depending on what they are saying.
Seinfeld guessed not, joking that the show would be 'AI crap' and that no computer program in the world would be stupid enough to properly recreate the comedy of his show.

The star mocked: "Well that's great, because 180 episodes is not nearly enough, let's make it 180 million.
"So, what does it do, does it write new things? So, do new things happen? Oh wow, do they make sense.
"No, it’s A.I. cr*p. A.I., I’m not worried about A.I., because it’ll make it smarter and smarter, but to do this, you have to be dumber."
Creating a 'surrealist comedy vibe', users are interested in parody characters Larry, Fred, Yvonne and Kakler.
The official Seinfeld Twitter account joked: "The robots are coming... and not just robot butchers."
A description on the Twitch page says: “Nothing, Forever is a show about nothing, that happens forever. Kinda like popular sitcoms of the past, except that it never stops.

“Nothing, Forever is always-on, runs 365 days of the year, and delivers new content every minute. Everything you see, hear, or experience (with the exception of the artwork and laugh track) is always brand new content, generated via machine learning and AI algorithms.”
The show ended in May 1998, but all nine seasons are available to watch on Netflix. You can watch the AI version at watchmeforever.
